Clear answers before you rely on the service.

Answers about supplier reviews, coverage, monitoring, reports and service scope.

Who is the service for?

Waste producers, consultants, brokers and operators who need to check suppliers, examine company/site evidence and follow changes. Client portfolios are intended to be internal workspaces for the customer’s team.

Which countries does WasteSignal cover?

WasteSignal covers Great Britain: England, Scotland and Wales. Source detail varies between nations and record types.

What can I use WasteSignal for?

Organise supplier research around company and site profiles, internal portfolios, monitoring scope and dated findings. The core workflow covers basic identity search, review of uncertainty, watches, an inbox, email updates, PDF reports and CSV exports.

How are discovery and integrations scoped?

Discuss advanced location, waste/EWC and activity research, Excel outputs, API access and webhooks separately. Requirements, source rights and usage limits need to be agreed for each workflow.

Does a registration establish that a receiving site is suitable?

Registration and site permission answer different questions. The relevant site authorisation, activities and waste context need examination. Suitability for a proposed arrangement also needs direct confirmation, including acceptance and capacity.

What happens when a name does not match?

The workflow keeps unmatched and ambiguous results visible for review. A missing match is not automatically an adverse finding. Identifiers, aliases, coverage and source issues may need further investigation.

Will the information be real-time?

We do not promise real-time evidence. Publisher release schedules, collection, matching and confirmation affect when information becomes usable. We show source dates and freshness, with exact collection and alert commitments determined after validation.

Which changes will produce alerts?

Issue alerts require a confirmed change supported by the evidence. Candidate findings stay available for review. A source outage, an unresolved match or an old publication newly imported into history must not be treated as a new adverse company event.

Can I monitor a company or a particular site?

Choose a whole-company watch with an agreed company/site footprint, or a selected-site watch. A site-only watch retains operator context without silently adding a separate company watch. Approve newly linked sites before extending monitoring.

How is monitoring capacity counted?

Monitoring capacity counts distinct companies and sites across the account. The same subject reused in several portfolios counts once. Agree numeric allowances and charges as part of the service scope.

How does access to client portfolios work?

Client portfolios are internal workspaces with assigned access for the customer’s team. Owners/Admins have business-wide portfolio access; Analysts/Viewers have assigned access.

What history will be available?

As much useful history as can be lawfully and reliably acquired. Historical imports will be distinguished from new events. Gaps and unsupported past states will not be filled with assumptions.

Are PDF reports compliance certificates?

No. Reports are dated evidence summaries with scope, sources, uncertainty and coverage information. They are not certifications, legal protection or promises of acceptance by auditors or regulators.

Which package fits my team?

Check focuses on supplier reviews and a modest watchlist; Monitor supports recurring assurance across portfolios; Intelligence addresses larger monitoring and output workloads. Start with your distinct company/site footprint, users, portfolios and output needs, then agree the commercial scope.

Will enterprise SSO be included?

Discuss SAML/OIDC single sign-on requirements as part of a premium, individually quoted enterprise agreement. Directory sync/SCIM requirements are considered separately.

Will WasteSignal submit statutory waste-tracking records?

No. WasteSignal supports connected evidence, supplier research and monitoring. Submit statutory waste-tracking records through the government service or compatible software.
